This past spring, Sarahi and Sean brought their love to life with a stunning, culturally-infused wedding at The Ritz Carlton Dove Mountain in Southern Arizona. From the moment the full moon rose over the Arizona mountains during their outdoor ceremony, it was clear that this wedding was as magical as it was meaningful.
A Celebration of Heritage
The couple honored their Mexican and Korean backgrounds by weaving in unique cultural touches throughout their day. The day before the wedding, Sarahi and Sean kicked things off with a pre-wedding photo session celebrating Sean’s Korean heritage in traditional Hanboks.
Sarahi’s roots shone brightly as well. For her getting-ready look, she wore a beautiful and colorful embroidered Mexican dress—a nod to her own culture’s rich history and craftsmanship. When it came time for the ceremony Sarahi wore a custom gown with a full, dramatic skirt and fitted bodice by Malibe Novias, a Mexican designer. This gown was a statement piece that added an elegant touch to the ceremony, perfectly blending tradition with a modern bridal aesthetic.
A Ceremony Under the Full Moon
The couple exchanged vows surrounded by blue and white hydrangeas, with the breathtaking Arizona mountains providing the ultimate natural backdrop. As if choreographed by nature itself, a full moon rose as the couple said “I do,” lending an ethereal vibe to the already romantic ceremony.
Their adorable three-legged dog, Bobbi, had the important role of ring bearer, escorted by his trusty companion, Ollie, who provided moral support. Bobbi's presence was a sweet and personal touch, making the ceremony even more memorable.
A Fusion of Music and Fun
Sarahi and Sean’s reception was anything but ordinary. The couple made sure their guests had an unforgettable experience by infusing the evening with entertainment and culture. After the ceremony, a live mariachi band serenaded guests during cocktail hour, paying homage to Sarahi’s Mexican roots.
During cocktail hour, guests were not only treated to mariachi melodies but also enjoyed a live caricature artist and a permanent jewelry station, making sure there was something for everyone. As the party kicked off, guests were greeted with a display of custom merch, all adorned with a double S emblem representing the couple's initials. The playful vibe extended to everything from reusable cups and t-shirts to sunglasses, all of which guests could take home as keepsakes from the day…they even included a basket of dog cookies from Ollie and Bobbi for guests to take home to their pups. The couple didn’t stop there—they flew in a 12-piece band from Hermosillo, Mexico to keep the party going long into the night.
Food & Fashion
The after-party was a food lover's dream. In addition to the carefully curated menu by The Ritz Carlton, the couple set up a ramen bar for their late-night revelers, blending Sean’s Korean heritage with the fun, casual vibe of the evening.
Sean looked every bit the stylish groom in his white Dolce & Gabbana tux paired with bold blue suede Louboutin dress shoes. Meanwhile, Sarahi switched into a second look from Free Ever After, a Southern Arizona consignment dress shop. Her second dress, designed by Isabella Nicole, allowed her to dance the night away in comfort and style.
