Sedona has long been one of the most sought-after destinations for couples dreaming of a wedding or vow renewal in Arizona. With its red rock vistas, serene creekside views, and luxury resort experiences, it’s a place where love stories feel larger than life. This June, we had the honor of capturing an editorial shoot at the iconic L’Auberge de Sedona, one that wasn’t just styled inspiration, but a celebration of a real couple’s enduring love.

A Love Story Meant to Be
Meet Sara and Greg. Sara, an Indigenous woman from the Pacific Northwest, and Greg, a former Navy SEAL Team 6 operative from Texas, first crossed paths in Oregon when Greg was doing covert training with his team. Their “meet cute” happened at a bar — a moment that would change both of their lives. Sara was unsure of this “very cute” but somewhat mysterious guy who couldn’t tell her much about what he did or why he was in Oregon but luckily the team’s flight got delayed and Sara just happened to live right by the air field they were flying out of, which bought Greg an impromptu bonus day with her. One thing led to another, and eventually he was asking her to fly out to meet him for a second date in Arizona…which was why we decided this was the perfect state for their vow renewal/ editorial wedding shoot!
When they married years ago, their photographs couldn’t be shared publicly. This editorial, designed as an anniversary renewal, allowed us to finally tell their story with the beauty and openness it deserves.
Bold Colors & Eclectic Inspiration
For this shoot, we wanted to embrace a palette that was bright, bold, and joy-filled. Bloom + Blueprint Event Co.brought that vision to life with vibrant florals, eclectic rentals, and a design that paired perfectly with Sedona’s natural red rock backdrop.
Couture Meets Comfort: The Fashion
Sara’s first look featured a show-stopping couture gown by Millia London, shipped in from England. Voluminous, artistic, and unforgettable, it set the tone for editorial drama. For her second look, she changed into a sleek two-piece gown by Eva Lendel, sourced locally through J Bridal Boutique in Tucson.

Because caring for gowns like this is no small feat, we brought in Tree + Co. Style. Having a professional stylist on a wedding day is an invaluable gift — from steaming delicate fabric to handling alterations and ensuring gowns (and suits) fit flawlessly, it means couples can relax knowing their garments are in expert hands.
Beauty, Details & Personal Touches
Le Beige Beauty created two stunning hair and makeup looks for Sara: an elegant swept-up updo paired with the Millia London gown, and glamorous Hollywood waves for her reception look.
Every detail was intentional. From flat lays styled with Brie Dumais custom invitations and Olive + Oak mats, to Christian Louboutin heels, Chanel earrings, heirloom Indigenous jewelry, and Greg’s Navy SEAL pen, the details told their story as much as the portraits did.
The Venue: L’Auberge de Sedona
Nestled against Sedona’s famous red rocks, L’Auberge de Sedona is the epitome of quiet luxury. We were blown away by the pristine grounds, exceptional service, and breathtaking ceremony and reception spaces.
The new ceremony site offers sweeping red rock views — perfect for exchanging vows.
The Garden Terrace reception transforms into a starlit dreamscape for al fresco celebrations.
And the property’s creekside dining adds a layer of serenity and romance unique to this venue.
Every element made it clear why couples from around the world choose L’Auberge for their Arizona destination wedding or vow renewal.
Why This Matters for Your Wedding
This editorial wasn’t just about capturing beauty — it was about celebrating real love and creating inspiration for couples planning their own celebrations. If you’re dreaming of a wedding or renewal in Sedona, Scottsdale, Tucson, or beyond, we would be honored to capture your story.
